Who is Officer Dane Baumgartner?
Officer Dane Baumgartner has been a police officer with the City of Blue Ash for 12 years. He is currently assigned to the position of Detective in the Criminal Investigations Section. He is in charge of investigating crimes within the City of Blue Ash and working in an undercover role. He previously acted as the Traffic Safety Officer where he was in charge of traffic complaints, event planning, coordination of construction throughout the city, and serious / fatal crash investigations. Officer Baumgartner is dedicated to training police officers in many fields. He is a firearms instructor, Taser instructor, OC instructor, less lethal munitions instructor, and radar / laser instructor. He also serves as a Field Training Officer (FTO), training new officers as they join the department. Furthermore Officer Baumgartner has extended his training beyond the police department teaching the ALICE program and Stop the Bleed program to civilians throughout the city. These programs focus on empowering people to help themselves and save lives prior to the arrival of first responders. Officer Baumgartner also serves as a member of the Hamilton County Mobile Field Force, Hamilton County OVI Task Force, and Blue Ash Police Honor Guard.
